Embrace All That You Are: Interview with Denell Wehrly of Angelz Messages

Denell Wehrly, Angelz Messages

SG note:  I found Denell through her Etsy shop two years ago.  I recommended her readings to friends and one friend invited her to teach a local workshop.  We met then and hit it off right away.  We often confide in each other because we both actively practice our spiritual gifts and we often exchange readings with each other.

Denell’s gifts are amazing.  In her angel course she said she could see fairies in the plant in the room.  I thought that was amazing!  Since then I have been able to connect to fairies as well but for a while I thought I was going nowhere although she assured me I was connecting.  In the end, it’s great that I can tell her anything and she won’t think I am crazy and vice versa. In fact, we both think life is quite magical and fun!

SG: Describe your business.  How did you get started?
I am an Angel Intuitive offering a range of intuitive services from Oracle Card Readings to Reiki Energy Healing as well as Past Life and Angel Healing Services. I have been an Angel Intuitive since I was a baby though I didn’t actually realize this is what it was until 2011. My strongest ability is channeling and I have been doing this since I was old enough to write. At the end of 2011 after meeting several soul family members I opened my Etsy shop and things really took off. As my quest for more and more knowledge continues I take classes and read constantly to update myself on the newest practices and how to incorporate new services into my business.  I have been so blessed in finding great friends who not only support me in this but also allow me to teach and even more importantly, be taught by others every single day. My soul reverberates with joy with each new client and each healing I provide to others.

SG: When was the first time you realized you were different spiritually?

I always knew I was different from others, I remember seeing and speaking to spirits and angels as a very young child. However, I kept it quiet because I was raised in a very strict family and it was not something you ever spoke of. As I hit my teen years the spirits faded away but even in elementary school I remember the timed journal writing and I loved this part of school while everyone else seemed to dread it. I would have five pages written by the end and I would look around and everyone else had a sentence or two.  I never felt like I quite fit in anywhere, especially with people – I realize now I was always searching for that soul connection with others and I did not find that until 2010 when I met my best friend and a few other soul family members.

SG: When was the first time you decided to find out what your gifts were and how to use them?
In 2011 my best friend and I were both practicing Astral Travel and Dreamwalking: the most memorable first experience was when my best friend called me up and asked if I was okay, I was confused because nothing un-ordinary had happened that day. She explained that she had seen me in her room even though at the time we lived 3,000 miles away from each other; she on the east coast and I on the west. She said it was like I was really there, talking to her though she could tell I was in Spirit form. This was the first time I had successfully astral traveled and I had not even realized I was doing it. Earlier that day I had been daydreaming about exactly what happened in her room. Later, my angels confirmed that I am a natural astral traveler and I visit the spirit world and loved ones almost every night and even during the day while I am doing mundane things.  I was amazed and continued to practice this amazing skill until I could do it at will.

SG: If you could give advice to your younger self/child about your gifts, what would you say?
To embrace all that you are and all that you will become, you are unique, blessed and loved so much. Seek out those who embrace your uniqueness, that you feel connected to and never let anyone make you think negatively about yourself. You are special and your gifts are needed on the planet at this time. You are a healer, heal yourself and you heal the world.

SG: What advice would you give to someone who just realized their spiritual gifts?
Embrace and develop your intuition, it will be your greatest asset! Keep reading, find spiritual friends who will support you – they will become your family – never stop learning! Connect daily with your guides and angels for they have important information for you. Meditation and Yoga will help you balance your life and most of all never forget that you are the most important person in your life, take care of yourself so you can help others!

SG: What part of your gift is your favorite and why?  What is your least favorite and why?
My favorite gift is Oracle Reading, I love the cards and the positive messages they bring. Their vibration is so high and full of light and love. The best part of this gift is helping others, especially, when they feel like all hope is lost and it’s the end of their world. The cards and messages give them renewed hope, strength and faith that they are not alone, that the Universe is one of pure love.
My least favorite gift is working with Spirits because they do not follow the same rules as Angels and Guides, they still have ego and free will, they may or may not tell the truth about things. This part of my gifts scare me in a certain way because I have seen my own past lives where I was persecuted for my gifts when working with the spirit world but also in that Spirits harmed me physically in previous incarnations and even possessed me. In this incarnation I am very well protected and they are unable to enter me but working with them alone is very scary for me and something I have not completely overcome.

SG: What is the funniest thing that happened to you regarding your gifts?
While spending time with my best friend we discovered that our Spirit Guides are soul family and were married thru several incarnations. Her guide is Marcus, a WWII hero who died in action and I have Rebecca. While sitting near the fire talking late one night we were laughing as Marcus entertained us with his pranks and antics around the house as everyone else slept. He looked nervous as he continued to make us laugh and a short while later we found out why, he was hiding from Rebecca. She never did tell me what he did but she came through a wall like a ton of bricks headed straight for him and he jumped up to the ceiling – I thought I was watching a cartoon! He disappeared through the ceiling and all was quiet for a minute and then he peeked his head through the wall near us making us both jump out of our seats. We both swatted at him like we could actually touch him and he grinned until Rebecca came storming through the living room. We watched them play hide and seek through the walls for a good 15 minutes and we could not stop laughing. It was hilarious!

SG: Why do you think the Creator gave us these gifts?  And what are we supposed to use them for?
I believe that before we reincarnate we decide if we wish to use intuitive abilities in our life and if it will serve our highest purpose and that of the planet at the designated time. I believe in this incarnation I am using my gifts to help others who are in desperate search of the light in the world today. Negativity crawls up every crack in our society so is it any wonder many of us have a hard time in clearing and cleansing ourselves of this? We are supposed to use our gifts to help others, the planet, Mother Earth and to help those who are newer souls heal wounds. New souls are often the ones we have a hard time getting along with, they are most often criminals or dangerous addicts. They need our love and healing just as much as other lightworkers do.

SG: Why are we here?
We are here at this time to keep advancing our souls. As an ancient soul I have seen some of my very first incarnations which occurred at the beginning of the timeline when people lived in caves and the earth was very dry and survival depended on your every action and move. I can see just how far I have advanced personally and in the past lives I have seen it is amazing what we can accomplish. The soul is a beautiful thing but not something that ends, the physical body withers away but the soul ascends and heals until it is ready to experience the beauty of life once again.

SG: What do you wish that people knew or understood the most about you?
It is a constant struggle I endure as the only one who is spiritually minded in my family and extended family. As they are all catholic and they buy into the fear induced proclamations of the church and the world I wish they could or would try to understand my point of view more. Fear is a powerful emotion and I wish to eradicate that from those that I love but they see me as the black sheep with unorthodox opinions and views which couldn’t possibly be correct. Fear is an illusion our ego subjects us to in order to control us. However, I have to remember they are on their path for a reason and I am on mine and betwixt the two shall meet at some point, either here on this planet or in the Spirit Realm.

SG: What do you wish the world would know or understand?
I wish the world would know and understand that Love is the only real entity in life. If we would all spend as much time loving each other, assisting our neighbors and sending love to anyone and everyone the world would be much more at peace. Each soul must live according to their truth and there is no wrong truth. By living and breathing in your own truth you allow your true nature to come forward and who you truly are is what this world needs. Live your life for you in a way that brings joy to you and let others do the same.

SG: What do you envision the world will be like in the future?

At times, when I see the way the government is run, I see in the future many spiritualists refuse to live in a world with so little freedoms and expression. The more technology advances, the less humanized we become. I often see secluded villages of spiritualists who live in harmony and peace with each other. Who help each other survive and exchange energy and barter for necessities. They live in unity as one with Mother Nature bringing back the old traditions of celebrating moon phases, harvests, seasons, etc…When this happens I see them living far out in mother nature … almost like a native American tribe or as the villages in Greece were set up thousands of years ago. I can feel the beauty and peace of such places.

Understanding Past Lives

For the past year I have been trying different ways to learn about my past lives.  I have believed in reincarnation for a long time.  I could simply not believe in the alternative, which would be one life and that's it.  That didn't make sense to me at all.  We have one life?  Why?  Why not more?  What would be the point of one life?  Plus there is so much evidence to the contrary, such as near death experiences or that precious little boy who saw Jesus in the book, and now TV movie, called Heaven is Real. Recently a little boy remembered how he was murdered in a previous life, you can read about it here.

My first exposure to reincarnation was Buddhist philosophy.  I learned that Buddhists believe that all life is precious, including an insect.  So you shouldn't deliberately step on a bug.  I used to laugh at this especially since I am not fond of bugs.  But now that I have evolved spiritually, I actually think twice!  I ask myself, is it necessary to kill that bug?  Or can I somehow find a way to get it outside?  In fact, I recently did this with a centipede I found in my home.  Sometimes it's unavoidable, when the annual parade of ants enters my kitchen after a rainstorm.  But now, it's not so easy for me to kill them.

When I first learned about Hinduism, they taught that if you were bad in one life, you could be reincarnated as something horrendous, like a slug.  I thought that was an interesting concept, but this didn't resonate with me and sounded like the angry God of Catholicism, so I quickly moved on.

In the past year I have read numerous books on reincarnation, especially information gathered from regression hypnosis from authors like Dr. Brian Weiss, Lois Wetzel or Dolores Cannon.  Up until this point, my simple concept of reincarnation was this:  a soul was contained in a body, when that body died the soul would leave and eventually would occupy another body.  The soul came here to learn lessons or to relearn lessons or make up for mistakes made in past lives.

Here was my problem, if God was perfect and we were made in the image of her than why were we so imperfect? Why do we even have to learn lessons? The answer is the soul is perfect but we forget that we are when we are born in the physical in order to experience life for God and experience who we really are at any given moment.  In fact, I recently learned that a soul is so huge and the vibration so large that it can not be contained in one body, it is more like an enormous energy field.  With this fact in mind, and the fact there is no such thing as time and everything is happening right now, our soul could be having hundreds, perhaps thousands (like I have been told in readings) of lives all at the same time!

In addition, every thought and decision we make (and the various options/consequences) creates a parallel universe where that option is played out!  For example, today I decided to lay out in my yard instead of go to the pool.  But there is a Tina who in a parallel universe that plays out what happened when I go to the pool instead of stay in my yard.

Did I lose you yet?

Let me give you a specific example from my life where I remembered a "past" life that is affecting my "present" one. In fact, in this case my past self is aware of my present self but not vice versa.   I have had neck and shoulder pain since I was child. There was not one thing that triggered it, it just started when I was 11.  By the time I was a teenager, I was trying to sleep on the floor because I thought the crappy beds in my boarding school were hurting my back.  I have been to countless chiropractors and physical therapists.  I have taken a ton of Advil. Dr. Weiss and most other past life regressionists, propose that healing can come from remembering past lives, sometimes very quickly.  So I have tried to remember what they are through hypnosis, meditation or intuitive readings by others.  So far (get ready it's gruesome) I have been mauled by a bear, had my head chopped off, been stoned to death and wore a heavy ibis mask as a Thoth priest in ancient Egypt.  So far remembering these lives has not gotten rid of the back pain for good.

Last weekend I saw my mentor and multi-talented spiritual medium, Shaman and Reiki Master Joy.  I asked her to help me resolve this pain, what else do I need to know?  What else do I need to heal?  She gave me Reiki and had a vision of me as a slave girl with some sort of farming contraption on my shoulders and I was pulling it through earth, like a horse would. She said that this girl is aware of me in my present life and she resents me because she feels like I have an easy life and that she could never be happy. So Joy talked with her to convince her that she could drop that contraption from her shoulders and she no longer needs to carry it, that she can be happy too. She said there was also a fear that once you are happy, it will not last (Joy said every time I have that thought, my back pain may show up again). I admitted that I also felt this way, more so in the past. There is also a future part of myself that is afraid that the happiness won’t last either. So she pulled these two parts of myself into my present body and my angels advised me to “have faith.” Hopefully this will do the trick, otherwise I am open to learning more, and open to further healing.

Today I was thinking about that little slave girl. I want her to know that, in her honor, I will do my best to be happy, and to take nothing for granted. And I remind myself, to not view life as a burden, but a source of joy and happiness.  Release your burden little one, and enjoy life with me!

Hello welcome to the Healing Light blog!

Welcome to my blog.  I have been struggling for a long time trying to decide whether to start a blog or not.  You see, the topics I will be discussing will be unconventional spiritual topics.  A lot of people are discussing these type of topics on the Internet but there is a big difference between someone else doing it and me doing it.

Anyway I feel the push to do it.  My soul group is the Artisan group and what we specialize in art and communication (if you would like to read more about your soul group, read the book Welcome to the Fifth Dimension: The Quintessence of Being, the Ascended Masters' Ultimate Secret by Bianca Gaia). So blogging is a form of communication.  So far I have only told my close friends and family about my spiritual beliefs...and even some of them have a hard time listening :)  That's OK.  This blog is going to push you to think in a whole new way.  What I will discuss on this blog might shock you, it might make you mad or it might make you happy.  You will probably react with all kinds of emotions.  Believe me I have been through them all myself.  But the key for me, and others like me (ie lightworkers) is that we have to spread the word.  If we communicate, others will start thinking about these topics too or maybe researching it for themselves.  It will spark action in others and it will spread like wildfire throughout the world.

So what exactly am I going to be discussing here?  The topics that I love: reincarnation, angels, the law of attraction, synchronicity, karma, ascension into the 5th dimension, ancient civilizations and their technology, right brain technology, feminine power, energy exchange etc.  I actually have so much to say that I am unsure how to start!  Everyday I realize things and learn.  And I will share it all with you on this blog.

So I will start by telling you about me.  I grew up in Manhattan with an American father and a Filipino mother.  My father was an atheist and my mother was Catholic.  Both my sister and I spend some years in Catholic school.  The God that I learned about growing up was vengeful and apparently punished those that sinned.  By the time I turned 14, I rejected this whole idea of God.  In fact I rejected the Catholic religion and every other religion.  I realized that if God was going to punish me or my parents for something that I did, then I didn't want to believe in that God.  So I just stopped believing in God altogether.

My dad and I a few months before his death.

Four years later my father passed away from a heart attack.  I was devastated.  His death was a shock to my entire family, especially me.  I was daddy's girl and I was lost without him.  I couldn't accept that he was gone.  I thought I was having a bad dream.  The worst dream I have ever had.  I had been away at boarding school when he got sick.  By the time I came home, he was already gone.  When I went back mt parents' apartment, I felt his energy so strongly.  It was amazing.  It was like he was still there. I could feel him there.  I was touching all his things, his clothes, the pan that remained on the kitchen stove.  I imagined him sitting on the couch.  I knew he was still with me.  And from that moment on I had to believe in an afterlife because I felt him.  And I had to believe in God because there was an afterlife.

Now I am all grown up and I have a family of my own.  I still have pangs for my daddy.  It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much I miss him.  But his death allowed God back in my life. What a gift that was!  It took me 40 years to get to that realization.

Last year I met with a psychic Steven Gelt for the first time.  I had never met with anyone like that.  I was worried he might be fake.  I was afraid I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an authentic psychic and a fake one.  A good friend of mine recommended me to him and I trusted her.  I was hoping beyond hope I was going to finally talk to my dad.  My heart fell when Steven told me he didn't like to give messages from passed relatives.  Anyway, the subject came up.  And I was lucky because he allowed my father to come through.  I was so incredibly happy!!!  Steven was correct 99% of the time.  It was amazing.  So this experience was the door that opened all the other doors.

It is amazing what has happened to me since then.  It's been quite an adventure actually.  And that's what I am going to share with you in this blog.  Everything that I have learned since then.  And I hope you join me this journey of discovery :)

A note about comments.  Right now my comments are open.  However, I ask you stay positive when commenting.  If you doubt something or disagree with something, say so.  But I encourage you to ask questions, lots of questions.  I may not have all the answers, but I will try to answer.  And certainly share your stories.  Maybe something I write about resonates with you.  Please share your experience!
