Everyone Has a Gift: Maisha Hudson and Feminine Energy Alchemy

Maisha Hudson, Feminine Energy Alchemist

I’ve known  Maisha since high school (so a LONG time).  We both attended a New England boarding school and we’re both from New York City.  Only in the past couple of years have we realized that we spiritually have a lot in common.

She started her wellness career almost a decade ago as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. She has helped hundreds of women lose weight and live healthier lives. She was always excited to see their progress, and honored to be involved in their transformations. Yet she knew something more was needed. Changing the outside was one thing, but she knew many of her clients really needed help with more internal changes like dealing with emotional eating, or negative self-talk – areas I knew of from personal experience.

Her mission and purpose is to help women reclaim the parts of them that have been lost along the journey of life.

Maisha will be presenting in Atlanta on December 4-7th at www.SacredSexualityRetreatAtlanta.com.

SG: When was the first time you realized you were different spiritually?
MH: Probably when I was around 6 or 7. I wanted to see/hear ghosts. Any book about ghosts or spirits I was interested in. I remember a Spirit speaking to me in school one day. Her name was Lisa. I thought I was going nuts because no one else was in the bathroom with me. I freaked out and ran out of the bathroom. I was always fascinated by telepathy and telekinesis. I used to do ‘yoga’ in my room – sit lotus style and say ‘ohm’ LOL. As I got older I found I could ‘tell’ when a song was on the radio that I really wanted to hear. I didn’t know what it was…just something I did.

SG: When was the first time you decided to find out what your gifts were and how to use them?
MH: In high school. I realized that I was able to predict or ‘see’ things that others didn’t see. I was very perceptive. A friend and I would practice strengthening that skill with playing cards. We would try to guess which card the other had. I would also play around with predicting songs on the radio. I got to the point where I knew when a particular song was on. That was pretty cool. I also played with a Ouija board. That was an interesting and powerful experience. My friends and I unknowingly contacted a dark entity that actually attached itself to one of my friends for years. We didn’t realize our energies could release something. I would not recommend using a Ouija board – not without proper training by a high level medium.

SG: If you could give advice to your younger self/child about your gifts, what would you say?
MH: You’re not crazy. Yes, this stuff is real. Practice it. Work on it. Accept it. You will meet others like you as you get older.

SG: What advice would you give to someone who just realized their spiritual gifts?
MH: Same as above. Also, read about opening up your gifts, and meet up with others who are doing the same. The gifts become stronger when we’re around similar people.

SG: What part of your gift is your favorite and why?  What is your least favorite and why?
My psychic/intuitive ability is my favorite. It’s also the easiest. I really enjoy being able to help others and give them confirmation on situations/decisions to make in their lives. I love knowing I can help them by giving them insight. Mediumship is my least favorite. It’s come in more over the past year, and it’s frightening to me because it’s new. I plan on studying it and developing it more though so the messages come through clearer.

SG: What is the funniest thing that happened to you re: your gifts?
When I as 14, my friend and I (the one who was practicing with me) worked at a summer job. We both liked the same boy and would use our abilities to see where he would be. One day we were waiting for the elevator. We felt like he was on one of the elevators and indeed he was. He got off and we were both looking shocked (that we were right) and embarrassed (because we had a huge crush on him lol). I think our faces were red!

SG: Why do you think the Creator gave us these gifts?  And what are we supposed to use them for?
To help others. To serve others. To heal others.

SG: Why are we here?
To assist those on earth in their own personal growth. To give warnings when necessary. To provide insight and wisdom. To heal. To teach. To show.

SG: What do you wish that people knew/understood the most about you?
That I’m not making this stuff up! LOL These gifts are REAL. And I’m not the only one who has them.

SG: What do you wish the world would know/understand?
That we ALL have gifts. It’s just a matter of being open to the possibilities. Yes, it’s easier for some than for others. But everyone has a gift of some sort.

SG: What do you envision the world will be like in the future?

I’m torn between what I hope it will be like, and what I’ve seen. And it’s probably a combination of both. In the future there will be a time when everyone is more conscious, more aware. More people will be able to access their gifts. We will truly work together to heal and grow. But before that……well…..it’s like giving birth. Right now we’re gestating, but the birthing point will come, and it will feel uncomfortable. On the other side of that will be a beautiful life. I just try and stay focused on the end result.

My First Blog Interview with Joy Andreasen, Psychic/Medium

Joy Andreasen, Whispers of Joy

Joy is a Spiritual Life Coach. Shamanic Practitioner, Author and Tarot Reader.  I met Joy in March 2014 when I signed up for her Tarot class.  While taking that class she helped me realize that I, too, had a mediumship gift.  Since then, she’s been my favorite metaphysical teacher and she has trained me to be a Reiki Master, a shamanic practitioner and she has helped me hone my mediumship skills. Her teaching style is unstructured and always guided by Spirit.  She’s incredibly funny and warm and I am proud to call her my friend.

SG: When was the first time you realized you were different?
JA: I always knew I was different.  I always felt different and out of place.  I would see myself observing this world like I was not actually part of this world.  (Note from SG: a lot of lightworkers and people with psychic and medium gifts feel out of place here on Earth.  However, she is aware of her soul projecting a piece of herself onto three dimensional Earth).    I feel like a character out of the movie Avatar, where I look through the eyes of someone else.  I knew that I wasn’t from here.
In order to be present, I have to focus on being in my body.  I have always been aware of the unity of life. I can connect with other living beings, plants and animals.

SG: When was the first time you decided to find out what your gifts were and how to use them?
JA: Because my dad was a preacher, I thought I would grow up to marry a preacher and that would be my purpose in life.  When I grew older, I felt like there should be more to life than marrying a preacher.  I eventually switched to a church that believed in prophecy and befriended a prophet.  I knew that I could hear Spirit but I didn’t believe in myself.  The prophet helped me believe in myself.

SG: If you could give advice to your younger self about your gifts, what would you say?
JA: Believe in yourself and believe in the messages.  Don’t be afraid to give messages to people who have more power than you do.  I always felt intimidated, even though I challenged authority a lot.  I went to a year of Mennonite school and my beliefs were very different.  I always challenged their beliefs.

SG: What advice would you give to someone who just realized their spiritual gifts?
JA: Be patient with yourself.  Any skill requires time and practice.  You don’t become a master in a day or a week.  It’s a lifelong practice.

SG: What part of your gift is your favorite and why?  What is your least favorite and why?
JA: I don’t have a favorite.  I love to do it all.  I love teaching and allowing Spirit to talk through me.  I love when Spirit is in control.  My least favorite part would be not being able to connect with a client because they literally have a wall up.  I used to blame myself but realized it wasn’t my fault.

SG: What is the funniest thing that happened to you regarding your gifts?
JA: Recently I saw a stinkbug on my ceiling.  I was annoyed with its buzzing noise and spoke to it telepathically to come down and land on my hand and I will take it outside.  Immediately, the stinkbug flew down and hit me on the face.  I picked it up and put it outside.  I was surprised at how immediate the stinkbug responded to my request!

SG: Why do you think the Creator gave us these gifts?  And what are we supposed to use them for?
JA: We are here to increase the vibrational frequency of the Earth and help the Earth ascend into a higher plane.  When you walk into a dark room, only one light is needed to light up a room.  Imagine if many lights were turned on at once. We are here to increase the light for all living beings on Earth.

SG: Why are we here?
JA: We are here to evolve our souls.  We chose to incarnate on Earth and it is the school we chose to attend.  We are hopefully evolving to a more loving, knowledgeable person that understands him or herself better.  Sometimes a soul will incarnate just to do one thing for another and that’s it, the rest of their life is pretty mundane.  Every person is essential to what happens here.

SG: What do you wish that people knew and understood the most about you?
JA: People think psychics can see dead people all the time or they know everything about a person.  I don’t pick up on anything and I don’t know anything.  I only know what Spirit tells me.  Just because I can communicate with Spirit doesn’t mean I automatically know everything about you.

SG: What do you wish the world would know and understand?
JA: What you give out comes back.  Every thought has an effect and will come back to you.  We would be more kind and tolerant if we understood that.  I wish the politicians would understand that.  War doesn’t bring peace.  Peace brings peace.

SG: What do you envision the world will be like in the future?
JA: It’s up to us.  It can go either way.  We’re on a balancing scale and the collective consciousness of humans will tip the balancing scale.  When Jesus rode a donkey through the crowd, they cheered him and threw palms at his feet.  The next day the same people killed him.  One day they love you and the next day they hate you.  There’s no guarantee that it’s going to get better.  For example, in the presidential race it’s not a guarantee that the best candidate will win.  It’s important that lightworkers send their light to the best candidate and to every event before it happens without a predetermined selection.

Spirit asked her to send love and light to the Pope selection council so they would pick the best candidate.  Now Pope Francis is affecting the world in a wonderful way.

We should always do what Spirit tells us to do.  Some people are not going to understand Spirit’s messages because it is not their purpose.  I was a reluctant medium myself; at first I just wanted to pass on messages from the angels.

I'm Back After an Eight Month Hiatus

It's been a long time since I posted!

The other day I checked my blog out and my last posting was about putting our 6 month old kitten Grace to sleep.  Then silence.  Life went on after that but in the past eight months I have been having more of an inner journey rather than an outer journey.  I have thought a lot about posting, and have some cool interesting topics to talk about, but never got around to actually publishing them.

The good news is that we adopted a new cat.  His name is Timothy and just turned five years last July.  He's a great cat and I love having him around.  My daughters absolutely adore him.  And I made sure he was absolutely healthy!

Timothy, the newest member of the family
I have been tossing around an idea for this blog.  I have always been interested in hearing about other people's stories.  Since this blog is focused on psychic and intuitive abilities, I've decided to start interviewing the psychics, mediums and intuitives I know about their experience and sharing it with you.  I want people to know that these "gifts" are not uncommon, but part of being human.  These gifted people are not unusual or so different from others, the difference is they are aware of their gifts, have chosen to incorporate them in their lives and have chosen to help others with it.

So stayed tuned.  I am already setting up interviews and should have a lot of interesting posts coming your way!

A New Spirit Guide

A year ago I had no clue who my spirit guides were.  Spirit Guides are souls who assist us in our lives on Earth.  They can be a friend or a relative that you never knew.  Through meditation, readings from other talented intuitives and help from my intuitive friends, I know several of my guides today. Recently I met a new spirit guide, and I am sharing the story with you because it's a fascinating story of synchronicity.  In a previous post, I wrote about the clues that Spirit leaves you and how it's a puzzle that you must put together.  Learning about my new spirit guide came to me in just this way, pieces of a puzzle that I finally put together.

One evening. I was following a guided meditation and I was supposed to see a significant symbol for me.  I saw an ornate bow and arrow.  It looked like it was custom made and it was given to me (probably in a past life) as a gift from a king or queen.  I didn't know what it meant at the time but I filed away this information in my mind.

One morning last week, I left my toddler in the kitchen with her breakfast and went up stairs to change. She immediately followed me up the stairs and said she was scared.  I asked her of what.  She said, I am scared of the basement.  I asked, is there someone in the basement?  She said, yes.  A big boy  or little boy?  Big boy. she answered.  I thought uh oh, not another spirit!  But I didn't have time to deal with it at that moment so I said a quick prayer to Archangel Michael to remove any spirits that were not there for our highest good.

Later that I day I was doing Reiki on a friend.  I always connect to Spirit when I do Reiki and I was focusing on her when she says to me, "I have to tell you something.  Someone is here and he keeps saying, tell her I'm here.  Tell her I'm here."  My mind immediately went to the "big boy" in the basement.  She didn't have any other information so I tried to tune in to who this was.  It was a male, older maybe in his 50s and he was wearing a crown.  The name that I got was Richard.  I tried to communicate with him but the veil was thick so I asked Archangel Gabriel to help me figure out who he was.  Gabriel told me it was King Richard and he was here to give me a message.  The message was about the bow and arrow!

King Richard told me that I will be "hitting my target more and more and with better accuracy."  He didn't say with regard to what, but my intuition says this has to do with my psychic gifts.

A few days later I looked up King Richard on the web.  I knew there must be several in Britain.  I looked at pictures and saw one that resembled the spirit I saw.

Richard the Lion Heart

Then I read this, "killed by a crossbow."  Apparently a boy shot the King out of revenge for his parents' death. King Richard actually pardoned the boy and let him go and he died of gangrene as a result of the bow shot.

Oh. My. God.  I sat there and gasped.  Then I thought, I hope I wasn't that boy in a past life!

I still haven't figured out the details about the meaning of the bow and arrow but leave it to Spirit to come up with such an amazing synchronicity!

Life is Miraculous

Today I was driving around town and had this thought: life is miraculous.  It really is.  Ever since I realized there was a whole another world out there aka the Spirit world, I have never been the same. Once I understood that nothing is random, I pay attention to everything.  Believing this latter concept help me understand that the thoughts, feelings and images that popped in my head meant something.  Up until a year ago I wasn't paying attention to this information.  Now I do and I have become so much wiser and happier because of it.  Not only does it help me, but now I can help others with this information.

Right now the world is changing at a breakneck speed.  You either are aware of it aka "awake" or you are not aka "asleep" or somewhere in between.   How about you?  Are you awake or are you asleep? Today I pulled this card for a client of mine.

There are a group of beautiful unicorns in a forest.  The one in the middle is awake and the rest of the unicorns are asleep.  This card symbolizes the world today.  There are a few who are awake but most people are asleep.  Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the people who are asleep and those that are awake or not "better" than others.  There is no better or worse just experience, different simultaneous experiences.

When you are awake you realize the following things:

  1. The physical world is an illusion and the real world is the spirit world and all the beings within it : passed relatives; angels; Archangels; Ascended Masters like Jesus, Mother Mary or Ghandi; Goddesses like Isis or Aphrodite; unicorns, fairies, elves and other spiritual beings.
  2. These spiritual beings constantly give you messages (like love notes) by leaving coins on the ground, feathers, arranging coincidences, showing you the same numbers over and and over again etc.
  3. When you notice these little things they start to add up.  I have a new friend who is absolutely befuddled that she keeps seeing feathers everywhere.  Of course, these are the angels.
  4. These little "love notes"  are little miracles, they are a reminder to you of who you really are: you are a soul having a human experience.  Your soul is the real you, the wise you, and the one who is aware of your constant connection with the Spirit realm.
  5. In the end, all these little messages add up to a miraculous day and then a miraculous life.

So do you want to see signs too?  Look for them, they are all around you!  Did you see an unusual animal or insect, look up its meaning as an animal totem.  Did you find a penny on the ground?  Look at the year on it, does it match the year a loved one passed?  It's a message from them that they are OK and they are thinking of you!  Found a feather on your bathroom floor?  Thank the angel who you left it there for you.  Keep seeing the same numbers over and over again on clocks, receipts and license plates? Look up their angel number meanings.

Because I am always looking for signs, my life has become miraculous.  Everyday is a fun adventure. The "coincidences" can be so funny!  And seeing them and noticing them makes me feel loved and taken care of.  Because I am loved and you are too.

If you would like to connect with passed loves ones, learn the names of your guardian angels or simply need guidance on life, I can get the answers you want by connecting with Spirit via Tarot and/or Reiki. Please email me if you would like a reading.

Feel free to comment on this post if you have noticed little messages or love notes that were left for you.

Hello welcome to the Healing Light blog!

Welcome to my blog.  I have been struggling for a long time trying to decide whether to start a blog or not.  You see, the topics I will be discussing will be unconventional spiritual topics.  A lot of people are discussing these type of topics on the Internet but there is a big difference between someone else doing it and me doing it.

Anyway I feel the push to do it.  My soul group is the Artisan group and what we specialize in art and communication (if you would like to read more about your soul group, read the book Welcome to the Fifth Dimension: The Quintessence of Being, the Ascended Masters' Ultimate Secret by Bianca Gaia). So blogging is a form of communication.  So far I have only told my close friends and family about my spiritual beliefs...and even some of them have a hard time listening :)  That's OK.  This blog is going to push you to think in a whole new way.  What I will discuss on this blog might shock you, it might make you mad or it might make you happy.  You will probably react with all kinds of emotions.  Believe me I have been through them all myself.  But the key for me, and others like me (ie lightworkers) is that we have to spread the word.  If we communicate, others will start thinking about these topics too or maybe researching it for themselves.  It will spark action in others and it will spread like wildfire throughout the world.

So what exactly am I going to be discussing here?  The topics that I love: reincarnation, angels, the law of attraction, synchronicity, karma, ascension into the 5th dimension, ancient civilizations and their technology, right brain technology, feminine power, energy exchange etc.  I actually have so much to say that I am unsure how to start!  Everyday I realize things and learn.  And I will share it all with you on this blog.

So I will start by telling you about me.  I grew up in Manhattan with an American father and a Filipino mother.  My father was an atheist and my mother was Catholic.  Both my sister and I spend some years in Catholic school.  The God that I learned about growing up was vengeful and apparently punished those that sinned.  By the time I turned 14, I rejected this whole idea of God.  In fact I rejected the Catholic religion and every other religion.  I realized that if God was going to punish me or my parents for something that I did, then I didn't want to believe in that God.  So I just stopped believing in God altogether.

My dad and I a few months before his death.

Four years later my father passed away from a heart attack.  I was devastated.  His death was a shock to my entire family, especially me.  I was daddy's girl and I was lost without him.  I couldn't accept that he was gone.  I thought I was having a bad dream.  The worst dream I have ever had.  I had been away at boarding school when he got sick.  By the time I came home, he was already gone.  When I went back mt parents' apartment, I felt his energy so strongly.  It was amazing.  It was like he was still there. I could feel him there.  I was touching all his things, his clothes, the pan that remained on the kitchen stove.  I imagined him sitting on the couch.  I knew he was still with me.  And from that moment on I had to believe in an afterlife because I felt him.  And I had to believe in God because there was an afterlife.

Now I am all grown up and I have a family of my own.  I still have pangs for my daddy.  It still brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much I miss him.  But his death allowed God back in my life. What a gift that was!  It took me 40 years to get to that realization.

Last year I met with a psychic Steven Gelt for the first time.  I had never met with anyone like that.  I was worried he might be fake.  I was afraid I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between an authentic psychic and a fake one.  A good friend of mine recommended me to him and I trusted her.  I was hoping beyond hope I was going to finally talk to my dad.  My heart fell when Steven told me he didn't like to give messages from passed relatives.  Anyway, the subject came up.  And I was lucky because he allowed my father to come through.  I was so incredibly happy!!!  Steven was correct 99% of the time.  It was amazing.  So this experience was the door that opened all the other doors.

It is amazing what has happened to me since then.  It's been quite an adventure actually.  And that's what I am going to share with you in this blog.  Everything that I have learned since then.  And I hope you join me this journey of discovery :)

A note about comments.  Right now my comments are open.  However, I ask you stay positive when commenting.  If you doubt something or disagree with something, say so.  But I encourage you to ask questions, lots of questions.  I may not have all the answers, but I will try to answer.  And certainly share your stories.  Maybe something I write about resonates with you.  Please share your experience!
